JUMP SEAT CLASS OF 2026

My name is Katalena "Katy" Prusso, and I am currently a junior in high school. My goal is to compete at the Division I level after my upcoming gap year. I am fortunate to have been born into the horse world and to assist my mother, Sharon Enteen, at Falcon Ridge Stables in Woodstock, Georgia. At Falcon Ridge Stables, I have the privilege of riding and showing a diverse range of horses. When I'm not in the saddle, I dedicate my time to tasks such as helping with horse show setup, cleaning tack, organizing bridles, and ensuring the smooth operation of the barn on show days. I derive as much enjoyment from being around the horses on the ground as I do from being in the saddle.

Although I didn't start competitively riding until I was eleven, I have had the honor of training with esteemed professionals such as Craig Allen, Kim & Caroline Perlman, Robert Stucky, Tyler Haney, Daniel Geitner, and catch riding for Don Stewart & Stephanie Cumming. Alongside catch riding, I also keep busy by showing horses for my mother's clients as well as my own. All of my horses have begun as young imports that my mother and I have nurtured into junior hunters, junior jumpers, or equitation horses.

Academically, I maintain a 4.0 GPA at Compass Prep Academy. Although the majority of my time is spent at the barn, I intend to pursue a business degree in either management or finance.

Looking ahead, I am enthusiastic about elevating my riding skills to the next level within a Division I team environment. I am confident that I would be a valuable asset to any team, both in and out of the saddle.

ABOUT

KATY PRUSSO

My mom and owner of Falcon Ridge Stables, Sharon Enteen and I at the in-gate. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful role model in this sport.

CRAIG ALLEN - WAYSIDE FARM

"Her show record shows her results but what it doesn’t show is her dedication and drive to be her best. I’ve helped her many times over the years and she’s always been driven to learn everything she can to improve her understanding of what makes a horse be the best it can be."

KIM & CAROLINE PERLMAN - RIVERSTONE EQUINE

"Katy is one of the few juniors that we have met who takes the time to understand the various horses she rides. She is patient and rides with incredible feel. Katy is exceptionally talented naturally but she also listens and learns. As a result of her ability to execute instructions in the show ring, she is becoming highly successful."

KIM & CAROLINE PERLMAN - RIVERSTONE EQUINE

"Outside of the riding, Katy is enthusiastic and energetic, it is impossible not to love working with her and her positivity radiates to her horses. Katy is a team player and encourages her fellow rider. The first to arrive at the barn and generally the last to leave makes Katy one of the hardest working juniors we have had the pleasure of working with and her hard work is paying off."
